Period 1--ELA B 30
It was a quiet class today. The students finished their connections with the short story "What's In a Name" and then started in on a reading assessment with the essay "Shooting an Elephant." The student sworked well and we'll finish the rest tomorrow.
Period 2--ELA B 30
Pretty much the same as above for this class. Mrs. Adleman was in for me and really enjoyed this class.
AP 30--I spoke with the class for a few minutes to make sure that they understood the three pieces of literature (The Aeneid, The Iliad, and The Odyssey). They should be starting to write their persuasive essay tomorrow as it will be the last class for them to work on it. They also need to make sure that they get their Oedipus Rex essay in to me. We'll be starting Frankenstein on Monday.
Period 3--Pre-AP 10
Mrs. Adleman was so happy to be able to pitch in for me for this class while I was away. They got through Act IV, scene i and ii. She loved teaching the kids and enjoyed them very much!
Period 4--History 10
Miss Campbell led the kdis through a role play about various roles people had during the Industrial Revolution. Students should make sure that they get in touch with Miss Campbell if they've missed a class.
Period 5--History 30
Students finished presenting their provincial power points and filling out their sheets. There were a few minutes left at the end of the class for them to study for the Unit I exam.
