Period 1--ELA B 30
We did some review questions from the first part of Oedipus Rex to help jog our memory about what we read last week.  These were done together as a class.  Then, we continued to read the play.  We're not quite finished yet, but will be in the next day or two.

Period 2--ELA B 30/AP 30 split
We did some review questions from the first part of Oedipus Rex to help jog our memory about what we read last week.  These were done together as a class.  Then, we continued to read the play.  We're not quite finished yet, but will be in the next day or two.

Period 3--Pre-AP 10
We continued reading Act I of Macbeth.  We had some interesting discussion about Lady Macbeth and her character.  As well, the literary device of allusion was introduced and an example given.  Students should be on the look out for other examples of allusion throughout the play.  As the class ended, we were examining the first soliloquy of Macbeth's and the students had to practice paraphrasing the passage.  This will be an important skill for them to have later.  We will further examine the passage tomorrow.

Period 4--History 10
The students were in the computer lab to work on a webquest about Leonardo DaVinci.  This is in conjunction with their review knowledge about the Renaissance.  DaVinci is considered to be the perfect Renaissance man.  They only had this one class to work on the webquest, so they will be responsible for finishing it on their own time.  It will be due next Friday.

Period 5--History 30
We used the atlases to examine geographical information about Canada.  The students were split into six groups and then each had to find information about the geographical region to which they were assigned.  At the end of the class, they started to share this info with the rest of the class.
