Period 1--ELA B 30
On Thursday, the students and Miss McPhail read the essay "Who Are you?" and had a choice of which prompt to respond to as an exit slip. They could discuss:

On Friday, they spork more about the importance of names. Miss McPhail read an article about parents and bizarre names they've given their children (how do you think a child named "Violence" or "Temptress" grew up? They then listened to the classic Johnny Cash song "A Boy Named Sue" and discussed reasons why parents name their kids what they name them. Do names matter or not? They students then got into another essay called "What's Your Right Name?" and discussed the main idea.
