Period 1--ELA B 30
We finished the comprehension questions for the play and discussed motifs and themes of the play.  Just as we were about to get into the group assignment for the play, Mr. McJannet came in and spoke to the students about the new Attendance and Late policy.  This took some time and the students had a lot of questions.  Parents should ask their students for a copy of the policy to review.

Period 2--ELA B 30/AP 30
Mr. McJannet came in at the start of the class and spoke to the students about the new Attendance and Late policy.  This took some time and the students had a lot of questions.  Parents should ask their students for a copy of the policy to review.

After we finished the discussion about the policy, we finished the power point discussion of the play.  We will be doing a writing assignment on Monday.

Period 3--Pre-AP 10
Despite the fact that half the class was missing for Driver Training, we decided to go ahead with our plan for today.  We finished orally analyzing the characters that were introduced in Act I.  This created some interesting conversations about the characters.  The students were then given a handout that explains some of the aspects of the a character analysis.  We ran out of time before the students could get to the writing, so this will be done in class on Monday.

Period 4--History 10
Well, it was quite a Friday!  Between regular absences due to cough and colds, and students driving, there were also a number of girls gone to Sr. Girls Volleyball and a number of boys gone to Football for the afternoon.  Thus, we were missing, again, roughly half the class.  We forged ahead, however.  My intern, Miss Campbell handed out a review sheet for the information we've taken up until now to help the students create study notes for their exam on Thursday.  Miss Campbell then gave the students a unit outline and went on to discuss Standard of Living through a power point.  There will be a few handouts for students who missed class.

Period 5--History 30
We almost finished going through the handout on the parts of governemnt.  We discussed topics such as minority vs. majority governemnts, votes of non-confidence, and cabinet members.
