Period 1--AP 30
We finished the last of our boasts and the grade 12s did an excellent job! They had the rest of the class to work on their Chaucer Prologue assignment. They have one more class tomorrow to work on this.
Period 2 & 3--ELA A 30
We took a new poem today called "On Both Sides of the Invisible Border" which deals with cultural clashes and how one must "dance" between the two cultures. We worked together, as a class, understanding the poem and answering questions about imagery and tone. I also introduced the next big assignment which will have the students prepare and present a speech (2 and half minutes long) on "The Most Admirable Canadian of All Time." They will start this assignment on Thursday.
Period 4--AP 10
The students spent the class working on their first timed write for Macbeth. If they didn't finish up, they will have to do so for homework.
Period 5--History 10
The students wrote their History exam on the Industrial Revolution for Mr. Wills today. We will do some current events tomorrow and then tackle our new unit on Thursday.
