The students were given this time to work on their persuasive essay. They are trying to clean up various assignments.
Period 2--ELA A 30
We almost finished Sinclair Ross's "The Painted Door." We stopped part way through to look at the language used by Ross to create imagery. This included a discussion on sibilance and alliteration. We will have to complete this on Monday.
Period 3--History 10
The computer lab was in our home for the period as the students continued their research on Edward IV and Mary I of England and their struggles with religion. They were given their formative assessment assignment which requires them to use Bit Strips to summarize their research. Our class is having a lot of fun with Bit Strips.
Period 4--AP 10
We continued with some practice with reading passages and doing multiple choice questions based on those passages. We spend considerable time correcting them and will move onto some discussion questions on Monday.
