Period 1 & 2--AP 30
We finished our trip down memory lane to grade 10 History as we reviewed the religious turmoil in England during the reigns of Henry VIII, Edward VI, Mary I, Elizabeth I, and James I. This is pivotal to understanding the harmartia of Hamlet as we read through the play. We started reading Act I and finished scene 1...Hamlet was about to speak for the first time when the final bell rang.
Period 3--ELA A 30
We did a multiple intelligence survey for the first few minutes of class. We then reviewed the qualities of a good speaker and the students began their speeches.
Period 4--History 10
We were missing a number of the students for Driver Training, but continued on nonetheless with disclosure #3 which has them research Elizabeth I.
Period 5--AP 10
The students were given this class to work on their Macbeth essays. They will have the rest of this week to do so.
Period 6--AP 20
We continued our reading of Othello. The students will work on their Blake poems on Friday since half the class will be missing, and next Tuesday they will have a timed write on the events of the first two acts of the play.
