I'm not here today, but this is what the day should look like.
Period 1—AP 30
They want some
class time to work on their annotations, so this is what they will be working on today.
Period 2—ELA A 30
They have
their “Most Admirable Person of All Time” assignment and they are booked into
the North Computer lab. They only have
one more class after this to work on it before they start presenting their speeches. The speeches have to be 2.5 minutes long, so
what they say needs to be fairly substantial
Period 3—ELA A30
For the
second part of the double, yesterday, we started in on a Reading Assessment
that they can continue with. I'm not sure if they will finish this or not, but they can continue and push to be done.
Period 4—AP 10
We are on Act V, scene v of Macbeth…the “tomorrow, and
tomorrow, and tomorrow” speech to be exact. If you get finished before the end of class, I trust that there are lots
of things about the play Mrs. Adelman would like to share with the kids.
Period 5—History 10
We started a PBL I made up yesterday on the English Civil War and
Glorious Revolution. They are just doing
some research on Henry the VIII, his wives, and the role of religion in
England. They have about 15-20 minutes
to finish their research. Once they have
done that, they have the formative assessment sheet and a sticky note where they will answer a question that sums up some of their research. They’ll have to come back to the room to post
their sticky notes on the back wall.
For the remainder of the period, the
students will create a Bitstrips avatar and do the Introduce Yourself activity for our Bitstrips class. We will be using Bitstrips to do some of our formative assessment after our disclosures.
