Period 1--History 10
The students started their second disclosure for their Problem-Based Learning unit on the Glorious Revolution.  They spent considerable time researching information on Edward VI of England as well as Mary I of England.  They will get more time tomorrow to complete their research and then work on their formative assessment.

Period 2--ELA A 30
In shifting to the second unit, the students are examining the landscapes of Canada.  As such, we are reading a short story called "The Painted Door" by Sinclair Ross.  We are reading it aloud in class and discussing as we go, so we didn't quite finish.

Period 3--AP 30
With a new assignment given out yesterday, they have some time to work on their persuasive essay.

Period 4 & 5--AP 10
We finished the power point on Macbeth, and spent considerable time discussing fate/free will, and who was responsible for Macbeth's downfall.  With this, we went into the discussion of the Weird Sisters and their role in Macbeth's fate.  It made for some interesting conversation.  To finish the double period off, we did some multiple choice questions based on some passages from the play.

Period 6--AP 20
We finished Act I of Othello and are enjoying seeing Iago's character emerge.  We discussed how to read various scenes or characters.  For example, is Cassio a besotted fool, or is he a self-confident ladies' man flirting with his boss's wife?  We are nicely into Act II and will continue our reading next class.
