Period 1--History 10
We started off our new unit today on the English Civil War and the Glorious Revolution.  Today was just an overview of the events they will be studying but we didn't quite finish, so we'll have to do so tomorrow.

Period 2--ELA A 30
We wanted to work on our speeches, but couldn't get into the laptop and the mobile lab of laptops wasn't cooperating either.  Thus, we switched directions, started our next unit on Landscapes, and looked at visual representations of the landscapes in Canada.  The students had to fill out a sheet on a visual of their choice and analyze it.

Period 3--AP 30
We began our reading of "The Miller's Tale" today.  Before reading, we examined the concept of "fabliau" stories and briefly how this tale fits into that genre.  We will have to finish tomorrow as we didn't quite get through it today.

Period 4 & 5-AP 10
Macbeth was our game plan for the double period and it was fortunate that everyone was here because we got through a lot.  We reviewed a bit of the beginning of Act III and then finished it up and are on the last scene of Act IV.  At this pace, we should finish the play by the end of the week or early next week.

Period 6--AP 20
The tough scheduling of this class is making us all feel disjointed so we took this time to review assignments that are outstanding as well as what is on their plate right now.  Once we took inventory of everything, the kids were given a work period to sort it out before we dive into Othello on Thursday.
