Period 1--ELA B 30
We finished our discussion of the morality of plastic surgery and then moved in to the reading of the short story "The Nose." We stopped at various places along the way and did some discussion about character motivation, so between the pre-reading discussion, teh length of the story, and our during reading discussion, we used up the whole class period. We will get further into the analysis of the story tomorrow.
Period 2--AP 30
Once again, we were well into the "Defence of Guenevere." The class was split half and half on whether or not the queen was guilty. We examined the strength of her arguments as well as looked at the psychological profile created by William Morris. Irony was certainly an important part of our dicussion.
Period 3--AP 10
The students continued to work on their Dracula fever charts and are starting to do some in depth analysis as they get further into this assignment.
Period 4--History 10
The students wrote their exam on this introductory unit.
