Period 1--ELA B 30
We continued with our weed vs flower discussion by having the informal debate we planned out last Friday. This is in practice for when we have a formal debate later on in the school year. After this, the students read the poem "Identity" which discusses the poet's choice between being a weed or a flower. The students were given their assignment that has them create a new comparison (dog vs cat, truck vs. car, etc.) and they can write either a poem or a prose paragraph on their choice. They didn't get much time to really absorb this, so they will have a bit of time to finish it tomorrow.
Period 2--AP 20
The students worked on their Fever Charts
Period 3--AP 10
The students did the actual Sun West Reading assessment that we've been preparing for. They will need a bit of time to finish tomorrow.
Period 4--History 10
We went through another power point that supplements the information from the textbook reading we did yesterday.
