Period 1--ELA B 30
The students were given some time to finish up their listening assessment from the presentaion yesterday.  They then had a chance to complete their speeches that will start on Monday.

Period 2--AP 30
We finished up "The Blessed Damosel" by looking at a few of important images as well as the voice of the speaker and the various lenses the reader has to struggle through as they read this poem.  It is an interesting piece of poetry from an 18 year old boy's point of view and when looking at that specfic vantage, it creates some observations or a different understanding!  Once we finished that, we moved on to Rossetti's contemporary, William Morris and his poem, "The Defence of Guenevere."  In order to get the most out of this poem, we reviewed the various legends surrounding Arthurian literature and also spent considerable time determining "What is cheating?"  The students will become the judge and jury as we read this poem on Monday.

Period 3--AP 10
I reviewed their assignment with them to make sure they understand the premise of the "Fever Chart" as well as the expectations for after the chart.  In order to do so, I showed them findings from my data collection on multiple choice for the first semester.  Then, they were given time to work on their topics and I was available to help some of them claify the direction in which they wanted to go.

Period 4--History 10
The students were given their outline for their first History exam (takes place on Tuesday).  From here, we reviewed the Counter/Catholic reformation with a handout and then started in on the Enlightenment.  We will finish up this review on Monday.
