Period 1--ELA B 30
We finished going over the questions in the anticipation guide and had some great discussions.  We started reading teh graphic novel of BeowulfThere are questions to accompany each section that they will read.

Period 2--ELA B 30/AP 30 split
We finished looking at the power point of heroes we started viewing yesterday.  We came up with a definition of "hero" and then started in on the Anticipation guide to get the students' minds int othe right frame for the story.

Period 3--Pre-AP 10
This was their last class to work on their timed write.  They had the rest of the class to work on their Macbeth essay.  At the end of the week, we are DONE with Macbeth!

Period 4--History 10
We spent the first half of the class doing a town clean-up as part of our Activity Week.  Miss Campbell then continued to review some of the information they have taken about the American Revolution by going over some questions they had.  They spoke about various battles that took place and the students were able to view an excellent instructional video on "the shot heard around the world" and the "Battle of Lexington."

Period 5--History 30
We had a few handouts today--the first one looked at the deportation of Acadians and the problems between the French and the English.  This brought us to examine the various worldviews of the French, English and Iroquois (as representatives of the First Nations).  To drive the point home about how little these three worldviews had in common, we did a three-circle Venn Diagram.  This clearly illustrated that there was little common ground between these three groups.
