Period 1--ELA B 30
We looked at a power point of various people who can be considered heroes in society. After viewing this, we looked at common characterisitcs these people share. From this, we built a definition that the students filled in on an Anticipation Guide to get them ready to read the graphic novel of Beowulf. We were just going over the questions together as a class when the bell rang, so we'll finish up tomorrow.
Period 2--ELA B 30/AP 30 split
Both classes are working together again for now. We reviewed the idea of Old, Middle and Modern English and then read a few pages from the History of Language Booklet I made up for them. We just got through the power point of heroes (see above) and will discuss that tomorrow.
Period 3--Pre-AP 10
The students spent this period working on their timed write "re-do." They can continue this tomorrow. I have told them that I want to be completely DONE with Macebth by the end of the week. We have missed som many classes due to driver training and other events, that it seems like it has dragged on way too long.
Period 4--History 10
The students looked at the Intolerable Acts of the American Revolution today. There were some board notes and handouts that the students should get just in case they missed the class today.
Period 5--History 30
The kids watched the rest of the educational video on New France. This took about half of the class. We then went over everything that we have studied thus far in this unit and made some board notes. They are all well aware that they have an exam on Friday! Tehy seem to have a really good grasp of this information!
