I wasn't at school today (again) as I was in Regina for a meeting. Mrs. Adleman was in for me, so it was a "win-win" for everyone!
Period 1 & 2--Grade 12 ELA
Mr. Sandbeck was in to do a few more of those guidance counsellor aptitude tests.
ELA B 30
When they were finsihed, they were given a story "The Story of an Hour" to read. There were three parts to this assignment and the students mostly just finsihed the first part of this assignment.
AP 30s
When Mr. Sandbeck finished, they were allowed some time to work on their Frankenstein essay.
Period 3--Pre-AP 10
The kids were given a class period to do some creative writing connected with Macbeth. Most of them finished this and it will be homework. We'll continue reading the play tomorrow.
Period 4--History 10
Miss Campbell led the kids through an economic simulation known as the bead game. This saw the kids split up into groups and given some specific resources. They then had to make bracelets in a specific way. These limitations (or lack thereof) mimics the command, traditional and market economies.
Period 5--History 30
The kids went to the computer lab and worked on a webquest about the fur trade. I can't get them into the computer lab until next Monday, so we'll continue on other information until then!
