Period 1--ELA B 30
The students worked so well yesterday on their "Identity" assignment and weren't quite finished, so I gave them half of this class to finish things up.  I've set the due date for Monday, October 24.  I also encourage them all to finish up any overdue assignments.  They have been pretty good about trying to get these in.  For the second half of the class, the students did a listening assessment.  I read them a very short story and they had to respond to some questions about it.

Period 2--ELA B 30/AP 30 split
ELA B 30
These kids are a bit behind period 1 simply because with two classes working simulatenously in one room on different things, my instructional time just isn't as efficient as I'd like it to be.  They used this whole class to work on their "Identity" assignment.  It seems that still are several days behind in this class and need to get caught up.
AP 30
They continue to work on their Frankenstein essay.

Period 3--Pre-AP 10
And....it begins!  They are on their own now, working on their Macbeth essay.  I spent quite a bit of time individually helping students get started.

Period 4--History 10
To be honest, I left Miss Campbell alone in my room today to get a feel of the classroom with out me in it, so I'm not 100% sure of all the activities they accomplished.  They definitely looked at the different points of view of the American Coloniests vs. the British authority.  They will need to understand this for their next assignment.  They did have a few notes, so if anyone was missing, they'll have to get caught up.  Mrs. Sobkowicz told me it was an excellent lesson, so I'm a bit jealous I couldn't be there to observe it!

Period 5--History 30
We continued our look at what brought people to the new world and kept them here.  We focussed mostly on NewFrance today and will continue with this tomorrow.  There are notes from the SMART board presentation I gave that students were required to write down.  Just a reminder--the kids need to get their fur trade webquest in.
