Period 1--ELA B 30
The grade 12s had to have their boasts from Beowulf ready to go.  Several of them were ready, but not all.  Regardless, we heard several of them and enjoyed the entertainment.  After this, the students were given a few minutes to continue their group work on their Chaucer character.  We just started to share information when the bell rang.

Period 2 & 3--AP 30
The APs are doing a simulation of the essay portion.  They had two hours to write three essays.  Almost all were able to do so.

ELA A 30
They are working on an essay called "Pretty Like a White Boy:  The Adventures of a Blue Eyed Ojibwa" and we will take it up on Thursday.  They were also given three short stories to work on for the next major assignment.

Period 4--ELA 20
We finished reading "The Children's Story."   We will plot this out with the Freytag Pyramid of Plot Development but need to review that before we do so.  We ran out of time to get very far in this.

Period 5--AP 10
Mr. Harrison led the class through some discussion and group work about other themes in the novel.
