Period 1--AP 30
The students were given more time to work on their Over Canada assignments.

Period 2 & 3--ELA B 30
We were going to move on with Chaucer but many of the students needed me to backtrack and show them exemplars of previous assignments that I have for their Prologue assignments.  With this better plan in mind, many of them were able to use this double class to work on this assignment in a much more productive manner.  We will continue with the tales tomorrow.

Period 4--ELA 20
We had an entertaining discussion of age categories with this class as it would lead into our short story for the day.  We also looked at the "pros and cons" of growing old and the students had a lot of fun insights into the aging process (some more accurate than others!).  After this, we started reading "Dr. Heidegger's Experiment" but we didn't get all the way through the story before the bell rang.

Period 5--AP 10
The students are working on their Fahrenheit 451 essay.

NOTE: There is no school for students tomorrow as they have a day off while teachers are at Professional Development, nor is there school on Monday due to the Victoria Day long weekend.  We will see students back on Tuesday!
