Mary 12, 2014

I was home with a sick kid, but this is what the day was like:

Period 1--ELA 20
They discussed the concept of cheating (various types) and the morality of it.  Then, they read an essay that dealt with how people view cheating and its consequences.  We will finish this up tomorrow.

Period 2--AP 30
They need this time to complete assignments and reading.

Period 3--ELA B 30
They had this time to work on their Prologue assignment.

Period 4--AP 10
They used this time to work on their essay for Fahrenheit 451.

Period 5 & 6--AP 20
We continued reading The Crucible.  After finishing Act I, they were given a handout that asked them to review the explicatory narrative that Miller uses throughout.  We looked at the pros and cons of it as well as its purpose in the play.  After this, they used those passages to help flesh out the characters.  They will need more time to finish.
