Period 1--AP 30/ELA A 30
AP 30--This was their last class to work on their Romantic literature assignment since they will be missing class tomorrow for a guest speaker.
ELA A 30--They are working on the assignment for "On A Cold Day."

Period 2 & 3--ELA B 30
We viewed the Hamlet video to see the last act played out.  As we were viewing, we examined various differences between what they saw and what they read as far as interpretations are concerned.  In the second class of the double period, the students identified speakers of various quotations in order to review the act.  They won't have ELA tomorrow, but will have two classes on Monday during which time they will be writing an exam.

Period 4--ELA 20
We are examining point of view and are going to use fairy tales to do so.  We looked at the "pros and cons" of each type of narrative and then they were treated to story time!  I read aloud to them the story of "Little Red Riding Hood" and we discussed point of view and plot structure.  Tomorrow, we will watch Hoodwinked to examine how the story changes as the point of view changes.

Period 5--AP 10
The students used this class to prepare for their mock trial and debate.  I went over the expectations and requirements for each; those doing the mock trial are particularly excited, so we will see how they do. They get one more class to prepare and then the battles are on to determine the responsibility for the deaths of George and Lydia in "The Veldt."
