Period 1--ELA A 30/AP 30We spent the first part of the period discussing what it means to be a Canadian to us, what others view to be Canadian (stereotypes) and whether or not there is any truth in those stereotypes. We also spoke about the diverse Canadian voices in our country and previewed a few of the voices we will be looking at as we read the play. We started reading "Medicine River" (a radio play based on the novel by the same name). We will continue tomorrow.
Period 2--Pre-AP 20
We had an assembly during this class so the students missed out on their opportunity to work on their ABC booklet. We'll get some time for this tomorrow.
Period 3--ELA A 30
We started viewing the visual docuementary of Over Canada which looks at the various landscapes of Canada . We didn't quite finish it, so we'll do so tomorrow.
Period 4--Pre-AP 10
We had time today to work on their ABC assignment.
