Period 1--AP 30
The big day has finally arrived!!!!  The students spent the morning writing their AP exams.  They came out smiling, so hopefully that is a good sign.  They will find their marks out the first week of July.

Period 2--Pre-AP 20
We started looking at some poetry by William Blake--after going through some background information on Blake and looking at his unique way of looking at the world, we moved in to look at "The Tyger" and "The Lamb."  We finished with "The Lamb" and will discuss the companion poem tomorrow.

Period 3--ELA A 30
We spent some time discussing the various landscapes across our country to start the class off.  From there, we moved into the short story "The Painted Door" by Sinclair Ross.  We weren't quite finished reading it, so we'll do that tomorrow.

Period 4--Pre-AP 10
We started out the class by finishing off Jekyll and Hyde with a Prezi presentation I made.  It looked at the format of the novella and its major themes.  Then, we moved into Fahrenheit 451.  I have a power point presentation I'm going through with them, but we spent considerable time discussion the parallels between Bradbury's fictious world and our own, especially in regards to media and the degredation of society.
