Period 1--History 10
We continued with our look at Enlightenment philosophers with the students filling in some blanks on a handout they were given.  We will finish up with the Enlightenment tomorrow and then go over the outline to prepare them for an exam on Thursday.

Period 2--ELA A 30
We went to the computer lab to continue working on their Inquiry Paper for April Raintree.  Most of the students are well on their way to figuring out what they are going to research and have started in on the research part of the assignment.

Period 3--AP 30
We started over with our study of Oedipus Rex because we didn't get very far last day and then with a three day weekend, it was in our best interest to start fresh.  Before we continued on, I did give them back their Paradise Lost timed writes and also showed them one that I did as a sample with a different way of organizing their information.  If the students want to re-do this first timed write, they have the opportunity to do so but it must be in by Thursday.

Period 4--AP 10
We continued our study of Of Mice and Men with a reading excercise where they were listening for specific tones, cadence, volume, etc. in the passage and how that affects emotion.  We will do the viewing portion of the lesson tomorrow.

Period 5--Mentor groups
This was time for us, as a school, to do the Terry Fox Walk/Run to raise money and awareness for the fight against cancer.

Period 6--AP 20
We will be writing a paper on To Kill A Mockingbird, so in order to get ready for it, we are spending some time reviewing how to write a formal, literary essay.  We should finish this next class and then will get into deconstructing the prompts.
