I was home with the flu today, so this is what the sub plan looked like.
Period 1--AP 30/ELA A 30
They had the choice to work on their essays (APs) or the reading logs (A 30) or they could read the short story "On a Cold Day" that I handed out earlier in the week before we went on our field trip.
Period 2--Pre-AP 20
There was a planned assembly part way through the class (for the Precention and Cessation of Tobacco Products) so they could use the time before the assemby to practice their kindergarten reading to each other.
Period 3--ELA A 30
They were still taking part of the assembly for this period.
Period 4--Pre-AP 10
The students were to start work on their assignment that goes with the documentary Reel Injun that looks at how the stereotypes of First Nations people were created and perpetuated by the movie industry. This assignment requires some research, so they were in the lab. Those that didn't get a chance to finish watching the documentary were able to do so this class.
