Period 1--ELA A 30/AP 30
The APs spent the class watching the video Over Canada where they will do an assignment about our Canadian Landscapes.
The ELA A 30s started in on exam preparation.  I photocopied a sample departmental for them and we started going over it together.  I chose to mirror the departmental exam because this class has had two different teachers so it's hard to know what focus was put on which literature.  Thus, I felt it was important for them to become familiar with this style of exam.

Period 2--Pre-AP 20
We went over the various characterisitcs of each of the main characters.  The students then went on to view a power point I had made up of important information of the play.  We went over most of this before the end of the class.  They will do a timed write tomorrow.

Period 3--ELA A 30
We started exam preparation today.  Their exam will be similar to a departmental, just as with the students in period 1.  They were allowed to work in partners to try to answer the multiple choice.  We were just correcting the first ten questions on proofreading when the bell rang.

Period 4--Pre-AP 10
We continued with Hunger Games today.  We briefly discussed the themes that they went through on Friday and then watched a cute you tube video about Hunger Games with Beenie babies.  It was a cute summary of the novel.  From there, the students were split up into 6 groups where they were each assigned a character and had to find adjectives and quotations to support their assertions.  We were just discussing it when the bell rang.
