Period 1 & 2--AP 30
Since we finished Hamlet before the break, most of the students are hazy on the happenings of the play.  As a result, we spent this double period using Kenneth Branagh's version of Hamlet to review some of the key scenes.  Tomorrow we will begin a lecture about the play and then we will be looking at a timed write later on in the week.

Period 3--ELA A 30
We are almost finished the non-fiction book The Secret Lives of Sgt. John Wilson.  I continued with our reading and tension mounts as John Wilson faces trial for the murder of his first wife.

Period 4--History 10
I gave the students back their exam from before the break and we went over it.  Then we started the new unit on the French Revolution.  We will have to study this quickly to get all of the information learned in the next two-three weeks before final exams.

Period 5--AP 10
The students were given their essays and timed writes back from before the break and we briefly went over them.  They were also given 10 literary device words that they need to learn for a quiz on Friday.  Knowing these terms will help them with their analysis.  I reminded them that we will be moving forward with our presentations on Animal Farm comparisons tomorrow.  Finally, since we will be studying a documentary called Reel Injun when we finish with the novel, we started some discussion about stereotyping today.  We will continue with this pre-viewing activity and assignment after we finish with their presentations.

Period 6--AP 20
We began reviewing the play through a lecture discussion about the various characters.  We will be continuing with this for the next couple of classes and then they will do a final timed write for the play.
