Period 1 & 2--AP 30
We finished our discussion on The Awakening.  Normally, we'd do a timed write, but with the sheer amount of marking I have to do before semester end, we will leave it for now.  Instead, we decided to move on to working on some multiple choice.  We went over a handout with some suggestions and information about multiple choice and then the students started writing a practice exam.  They will have the appropriate amount of time to continue writing tomorrow to add up to one hour.

The students working on Night continued to work on their time line, theme, and concept map assignment.

Period 3--ELA A 30
We began reading the Canadian play, Mirage today.  The students were given parts and we began reading together, stopping periodically to make a point or clarify events or characters in the play.

Period 4--History 10
In order to finish the cloze notes they had, we finished up the power point and did a quick review of things so far to make sure they understood the events to the end of the March on Versailles.  At this point, we watched a part of a documentary from the History Channel to supplement and clarify points made during my lecture.

Period 5--AP 10
The students finished up their stereotype assignment where they had to think of one stereotype that applies to them and share it with the class.  There were some excellent reminders to everyone about stereotypes we use or are subjected to.  Once this was complete, we began our study of the documentary Reel Injun.  We only just finished the first section of the documentary with various stops along the way to clarify, expand on, or create connections to the information.  We also stopped to jot down notes about what we saw.  We will continue this for the next few days.

Period 6--AP 20
The students needed this class to finish up their timed writes.
