Period 1--ELA B 30
We continued our discussion of Night and important events in Elie's life at the concentration camp. This was interspersed with readings from the book to help guide the students into a better understanding of Elie's thoughts and feelings.
Period 2--ELA B 30/AP 30 split
ELA B 30--There were only 4 students again today (because of the severe cold) but we forged ahead anyway. We worked through Elie's timeline and discussed important events from his time at the concentration camp. Again, I read excerpts from the book to help them understand.
AP 30--The students had the class to work on their question paragraph from Gatsby. Once they finished this, they had some practice AP mulitple choice questions to work on.
Period 3--Pre-AP 10
There were just a few multi-media projects to continue with today and then I lectured the students on a few ideas that may have been overlooked about the novel. After this, we began our speeches.
Period 4--History 10
In an effort to get ready for their final exam, we backtracked to the first unit of History and had an overview of Medieval times, the Renaissance, Reformation and Counter-Reformation, Englightenment, and Scientific Revolution. We'll get through as much as we can in the next few days.
Period 5--History 30
We cruised through Canada's role in World War II, its contributions at home and abroad.
