Period 1--ELA B 30
We finished reading Act V for Hamlet halfway through class.  The students wanted to view the final scene to see how the director dealt with some of the inconsistencies (why did Laertes die before Hamlet when Hamlet was cut by the poisoned sword first!).  We viewed the last scene and the bell rang just as we finished.  We'll spend a few minutes tying loose ends on Monday and then onto Night.

Period 2--ELA B 30/AP 30
We finished viewing the Gravedigger's scene with lots of stops along the way to explain and discuss.  In the interest of time, we elected to simply view the final scene but the students needed to follow along in their playbooks.  We stopped at various times and discussed some of the director's choices.  We didn't quite finish the play, so will do so on Monday and then move onto their novel studies.

Period 3--Pre-AP 10
We went to the computer lab to continue working on their second part of the Animal Farm mulit-media project.  Students will begin presenting their information on Monday for this.  They are reminded to have their speeches ready to go for Wednesday.

Period 4--History 10
They had time to work on their Glorious Revolution/English civil war projects.  They will get two more classes (in the computer lab) to finish this up.

Period 5--History 30
We reviewed the events leading up to World War I and Canada's involvement in the Great War.  We spent time discussing such topics as conscription, obligation, and alliances.
