Period 1--AP 30
We did our viewing activity today with being active viewers of the two versions of the "To be or not to be" scene. We annotated the Brannagh version first and looked at the difference it makes to the over tone in having Hamlet suspect that he is being spied upon. We will finish with Gibson's version on Monday.
Period 2 & 3--ELA A 30
We read to the end of the first part of the book in Secret Lives of Sgt. John Wilson. This last section covered the murder of Polly Wilson. After we finished the reading, we worked on our second reading log. In the second class, the students reminded me that I had told them of a video version of "The Painted Door" by Sinclair Ross that we read a few weeks ago. I recently found it and promised we would watch it, so we hauled out a VCR and played it for them. They enjoyed seeing how far video production has come in the last 30 years. To finish the class off, we continued reading.
Period 4--AP 10
Once again, we were in the computer lab to work on our Animal Farm assignments although I did allow them to use the class as a "clean up" class.
Period 5--History 10
We reviewed the parts of the video they watched yesterday and then carried on. We will need one more class to complete our viewing of Cromwell's reign.
