Period 1--AP 20
We continued with the powerpoint examining more information about the play.  This will help give the students some ammunition as they write their takes.  We had some good discussion about the strength of Desdemona (or lack thereof, depending on how you view it), the protagonist of the play, as well as the vulnerabilities of Othello.

Period 2--AP 30
Mr. Farrel continued with the students...he led them through the "To be or not to be speech" and supplemented it with visuals from the Banagh version as well as the Gibson version.  They broke it down into visual elements and discussed.  At the end of the class, the students did a short writing assignment on which version they preferred and why.

Period 3--AP 10
The students began performing their speeches on their favourite novel of all time!  There were some very interesting choices and we will continue with these tomorrow.

Period 4--History 10
We discussed some of the information they saw yesterday in the documentary clips on the French Revolution.  The focus was on Louis XVI and his disastrous reign.  We stopped periodically to discuss and take notes from what they saw that surprised them or was new that supplemented the reading.
