Period 1--AP 20
The students did their timed write today. They had a choice between two passages in Othello.
Period 2--AP 30
Mr. Farrell continued through Act III today. We were just passed the climax of the play where Hamlet makes the decision not to kill Claudius and are entering into the closet scene. We are on pace to finish the play by the end of the week or early next week.
Period 3--AP 10
We started our study of Animal Farm today and will save Martin Luther King Jr's speech for after the Christmas break, or at least after our study of the novel. We went through Marxism and the Russian Revoltution events and briefly looked at their asigmment for the novel.
Period 4--History 10
We listened to two more current event presentations. We will hopefully be done these before the Christmas break. After this, we continued with the documentary on the French Revoltution. It is a bit slow going as I'm continually stopping and assessing student understanding as we take notes from what we've seen, but it is such an effective documentary that it is worth the time committment. We should finish up with the documentary tomorrow.
